Blue and Yellow

You’re a constant itch at the back of my throat, an upcoming deadline, an uneasy feeling, a child that needs care, a parent refusing to go to bed till you get home. My wandering mind always finds its way back to you. But I do not complain, rather this than nothing. I swear I know people who sleep next to each other less in love, sweetheart.  I’ve been one of those people.

The things I write about.

But if you catch hold of me in the dead middle of the night and cut me open, you will find a little girl that is questioning it all. Do I see you in the desperation of an addict? In the screams of a quite child?

Que Sera, Sera

The people around me have looked loss in the eye – lost friends, family and even themselves. And if after all that, they can sit here singing so carefree, I start to wonder which future I’m so worried about.

Unapologetically Needy

There’s nothing more attractive than a man who maintains eye contact. He’s telling me he’s lost all the battles there are to lose, and won all that are to win. That he’s confident I’m going to fall head over heels in love with him tonight. That he’s needy but unapologetic about it.
